Feather Romance is featured....
Its been a bucket list item for me to be featured in print. I know that in today's age most of the features are online blogs but there is still something very rewarding about being featured in actual hard copy print in Mad Love Wedding Inspirations Magazine. This shoot was one of the highlights of my career to date....I conceptualized the mood board off one single feather and from there it took on a life of its own. Nas Brooks from Brooks Bridal and I have worked together on many shoots, as we share a similar work ethic, don't stop looking till you find the perfect look. We sourced feathers in the UK, which were hand carried to me in Kuwait and then I hand carried them with love and care to South Africa where I handed them over to our expert Lorraine Hirst from LOL's Flowers. She took a simple concept and created sheer magic, far better than I could ever have dreamed and I still believe that she took this shoot to the next level which is why it was recognized for a print feature. Carmen Mayers, Wedding Planner extraordinaire from Two Cherries Events made sure each and every vendor delivered and that it all came together seamlessly. Each vendor created their own little bit of magic and this shoot came to life.
I also came very close to achieving my 2nd bucket list item, to win a Top Wedding Vendor Award, when this shoot was recognized as a participant in the running for 2018 awards in the Best Styled Shoot category. Sadly we didn't win the accolade but we were noticed and that is a step closer to achieving the dream.
